Scores of riot police are marching around central—an unreal deployment for the aftermath of what was a fully legal assembly. They've been charging at streets and footbridges from which people have been yelling at them. Earlier the water canon vehicle was even spotted by IFC
How riot police left Chater Road and Ice House Street - swamped by angry rally goers shouting their anguish and hatred against the force. Photographers there when it happened showed me pics of one man arrested and taken onto a police van on Chater Rd
Commotion on Chater Rd after Edinburgh Placd rally. Heard it was becuz one was arrested but didn't see any arrestee when I arrived. Riot police did not make any dispersal attempt and were obviously outnumbered by rally goers
